The photos show a bright living area with sliding glass doors, windows and a ceiling fan, covered in large polished porcelain tile with a white body and bold gray veining. Some views were taken during installation, with leveling clips still in the joints and along the edges. Others show the finished floor with furniture back in the room.
Large-format tile on a big open floor depends on a flat substrate, full mortar coverage and a layout that keeps cut pieces balanced at walls, doorways and transitions. Leveling clips help keep tile edges in plane while the mortar cures, which matters on glossy tile where any lippage catches the light. Movement joints, transitions and substrate conditions are worked out for each project.
