Before you book

Cost, materials & timelines

How much does tile installation cost?

It depends on the area, the condition of the floor or wall underneath, tile size and pattern, waterproofing, trim and transitions. The free estimate is based on your actual room, not a flat price per square foot.

How much tile should I order?

We measure the area and add overage for cuts and breakage, usually 10 to 15 percent, more for diagonal or herringbone layouts. Keep a few spare tiles for future repairs.

What types of tile do you install?

Ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, glass and mosaic, including large-format, wood-look plank, zellige and patterned cement-look tile.

How long does a typical job take?

A backsplash is often one to two days, a bathroom floor two to three, and a full shower four to seven days because of cure times between layers.

Do you require a deposit?

No. We work with a $0 deposit, so you do not pay anything up front to book your installation.

Do you offer a warranty on installation?

Yes. Every installation comes with a 2-year workmanship warranty.

Can you measure my room online?

Yes. We offer online measurements, so you can get your estimate started without waiting for an in-person visit.

How fast will I hear back after I send the form?

We aim to respond within 10 minutes during working hours and get back to every request within one business day.

Services

What tile services do you offer?

Residential and commercial tile installation, bathroom and shower tile, kitchen backsplashes, tile removal and floor prep, and tile repair and regrouting.

Do you remove old tile before installing new?

Yes. We remove the old tile and mortar, repair and level the subfloor, then install, all within one project.

Can you repair tile instead of replacing it?

Often, yes. Cracked tiles can be replaced individually if you have matching spares, and failing grout can be cut out and refilled.

Do you handle commercial projects after hours?

Yes. Offices, stores, restaurants and salons can be scheduled in the evening, overnight or on weekends.

Building rules & the jobsite

Can you work within my building's contractor rules?

Yes. Send us your co-op, condo or property manager's rules with your request, and we will plan access, hours and deliveries around them.

How do you protect my home during the job?

Paths are covered, the work area is sealed with plastic, cutting is done wet or with dust extraction, and we clean up at the end of each day.

Do I need to be home while you work?

Someone should be there at the start to confirm the layout and at the end for the final walkthrough. In between, many clients go about their day.

Do you cover my city?

Which cities do you serve?

We have dedicated service areas in New York, NY; Chicago, IL; Atlanta, GA; Houston, TX; and Phoenix, AZ.

Do you travel outside those cities?

Sometimes, especially for larger projects. Put your city in the form and we will tell you honestly whether we can take the job.

Is the estimate free in every service area?

Yes. Measurements and the estimate are free with no obligation in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Houston and Phoenix.
